Map: Thunder Canyon v2
Author: LiquidMetal
Email: cornholiooooooooo@hotmail.com
Size: 10 x 15
Description:

The entire map has been re-featured for better orepathing and strategy.
Winds are higher, producing around 18-24 units/sec. Some minor height
problems have been fixed. A very challenging AI has been included. Please
note that this AI does NOT cheat, so truly good players should be able to
defeat it. This map is meant for one-on-one matches and 4-player team
battles with fixed start positions.

TAMECHPI not required.

Strategy:

- Control of the center plateau is the key to victory. Not only is it
strategically important, but it is also flooded with metal deposits.

- Use wind generators instead of solar collectors. Though they produce
energy at a similar rate, wind generators are cheaper to build.

- Plasma cannons excel on this map because of the low gravity. Core
players should be sure to utilize the improved range of Goliaths and
  Mortys.

- Arm players should try hit-and-runs, as well as misdirections. Lead
your opponent one way and ambush from the other side with a squad of
  Fidos and/or Mavericks.

About the AI:

- The AI is actually the Wind profile for the upcoming LiquidMetal AI
v3.0. It will literally wipe the floor with any other non-cheating AI
on the net (it will take down Mostly Harmless and Queller *most* of the
  time).

- I tried to make the AI for this map as tough to beat as possible.
Because it does not cheat, however, it is susceptible to early raids.
This holds especially true due to the small size of the map. For a true
challenge, leave the AI alone for the first ten minutes or so.

- If you find the AI too difficult, you can remove the "ThunderCanyon.txt"
file by extracting and repacking the file. To do this you will need HPI
View and HPI Pack, or HPI Replace.

- The AI plays best with the following settings:
	- 1k/1k starting resources
	- 500 unit limit (VERY important!)
	- All Cavedog units installed (OTA, CC, 3.1 patch, and the six
	  official add-on units)
	- No 3rd-party units enabled
	- AI units (mentioned below) installed

- Many complained about the inclusion of AI Packs 1 & 3 in the previous
version. These do not give the AI any advantage, they just allow it to
do things a normal player can do (such as fire nukes). Nevertheless,
they have been removed this time around. I HIGHLY recommend downloading
  these files at <http://www.planetannihilation.com/aicentral/>.

- Expect nukes and LRPCs around the 30 minute mark. Note that it will NOT
fire nukes if you do not download the aforementioned AI Packs.

- Though the AI provides a fun challenge, the map plays best head-to-head
against another human. People are not nearly as predictable in their
strategies and will use tactics such as flanking and multi-pronged
attacks. I designed the map with these tactics in mind, so believe me
  when I say they work.
